On Sunday, July 31, 42 Jacket Backers of all ages and skill levels got together and bowled for a good cause at Columbus Square Bowling Palace.  Friends, family and hockey family showed up in lots of CBJ and JB attire and enjoyed a bit of friendly rivalry against each other while helping us raise funds for our new Foundation.

Meanwhile, other JB members and CBJ fans were busily shopping in our Hockey Memorabilia Mart.  A great time was had by all!  Thank you to Paul Kempf for his memorabilia donations in memory of his brother, Christopher J. Kempf.  Watch for more opportunities to see and bid on these items in auctions at future events.

Ed Luckett had the Hat Trick of the afternoon with wins in the MOST MONEY RAISED, HIGH SCORE, and HIGHEST NUMBER OF STRIKES categories.  Thanks Ed for all your efforts in bringing us pledged donations and also for being an awesome bowler!  Ed shared his photo with us showing off his winnings.

We were able to raise over $1900 in just a few hours.  Not bad for a first time event - thank you for your support and let's make it bigger next time!

Special Thanks again to our Event Sponsors, KEMBA Financial Credit Union and Sara Bluejacket Fan, and our Lane Sponsor, R Bar Arena.  Thank you to R Bar and the Three Legged Mare for their kind donation of $25 gift cards towards our prize giveaways.  Thank you to the Lake Erie Monsters for their donation of 4 club seats to a 2016-17 regular season LEM home game.
