It is usually located behind section 116, near the escalator from the McConnell Street Entrance, but may be relocated on a game-by-game basis at the Jackets' request. Feel free to stop by at any game with your questions, comments or just to see what is going on with the Jacket Backers.
$1,650 Raised to date for The Blue Jackets Foundation!
The Blue Jackets' 58 Power Play Goals mean $1,350 donated by the Jacket Backers plus an additional $300 of generous donations collected for the CBJ Foundation.
The Jacket Backers are sponsoring a Blood Drive at Memorial Baptist Church on Saturday, June 8th!

All donors will automatically be entered in the Jacket Backers raffle for Blue Jacket memorabilia.
The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a pint of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
As well, if you are planning on attending and would like to bring a snack to share at the refreshments table, you are welcome to do so.

The Jacket Backers have adopted a stretch of I-71 between mile markers 112 and 114. Look for our signs on Northbound I-71 at mile post 112 near the Hudson Street Exit and on Southbound I-71 at mile post 114 near the North Broadway Exit. We can't wait to keep our little section of Columbus cleaner.
We will let you know when our "Clean Up" days are in case you would like to help.

We are seeking donations of reading material for Ohio Health Hospitals for patients and family members. Items needed: Books, Coloring Books, Crosswords or Puzzle Books, New or Used Magazines (not too old please!).
If you have anything appropriate to donate, please bring to the next scheduled game watching party on Thursday, April 25, 2013 (Buffalo Wild Wings (Powell), 3878 Attucks Dr., Powell, OH 43065). We will also be accepting monetary donations at the Game Watching Party to purchase items!

Activities chair: Members skate event date changed to 4/24/2013, 6-9PM. Tour postponed until offseason. Jacket Backer members plan to join #CBJBWW game watching parties. (4/21/2013 update: last one is 4/25/2013 at BWW, 3878 Attucks Drive, Powell, 8:30 PM at Dallas).
Travel: St. Louis trip – The bus was cancelled. A block of tickets was committed. Eighteen (18) people attended. Detroit trip - There were 28 people on the bus. Six (6) people bought tickets only. Nashville – There were 49 people. Feed back from a member in attendance: “had a great time on the Detroit trip!” T.J was nominated for travel chair, seconded, accepted by T.J. Vote was unanimous.
Community Service: Ohio health coloring books/magazines, $100 proposed to pay toward buying some, motion, seconded, and voted unanimous. Donation to Hockey fights Cancer was suggested. $200 was proposed, seconded. Approved.
Thank you so much to all of you who tweeted and FB commented on where you'd like to go on our road trips next year. It took us awhile to compile and select our winner, member Drew Chambers!
No surprises - New York Rangers was the most mentioned trip, 38 of you said you'd like to go there!
Philly was next at 17.
One of you mentioned heading to Philips Arena in Atlanta to thank them for allowing us to move East!
Other mentioned trips in order of popularity: Pittsburgh 15, New York Islanders 11, Washington 10, Toronto and Boston tied at 9 each, Detroit 5, Buffalo 4, Nashville 3, Montreal Ottawa and Springfield all tied at 2, and with single mentions Colorado, Florida, Carolina, New Jersey, Columbus, Winnipeg, Chicago, Vancouver and San Jose. Kinda surprised no one mentioned Edmonton, LA, Phoenix, Dallas, Tampa, Anaheim, Calgary, St. Louis or Minnesota as places they'd most like to head.
We're looking forward to being able to put together some great road trips for next year's season in the East!
