Pittsburgh Tickets Going Fast

Our Block of 40 tickets in Pittsburgh for February 6 are going fast.  We currently have 9 tickets remaining.  Tickets are $120 for members and $140 for non-members.  Tickets in Pittsburgh are a rare find, with pairs unavailable from the ticket office.  Our section will be located close to the ice in Section B31.

Who are we? - About the Jacket Backers:

The Jacket Backers, the official booster club of the Columbus Blue Jackets, were established to support the Columbus Blue Jackets hockey club, serve its charities and civic events, encourage participation in and support of amateur hockey and hockey education for the general public and promote sociality among its members.

 

The Jacket Backers is a non-profit organization established to support the Columbus Blue Jackets, its Foundation and its endeavors.  Members must be at least 21 years of age.

How much is it? – 2009 – 2010 Season Membership Fees:

  • Individual - $15.00
  • Joint - $25.00

Memberships purchased while the Blue Jackets are playing during the 2009 – 2010 season (including Playoffs) are valid until August 31, 2010.

 

We are currently offering a special - $5 off for joining before 2009 - 2010 home opener!

Jacket Backers Visit Upstate New York for NHL/AHL Adventure!

We need your help to make the headline above come to life. We have 14 members interested in the projected bus trip to Buffalo and Syracuse. We need 20-25 travelers to make this trip work. The Jacket Backers finished last season with a great bus trip to St. Louis. There has been nothing but great memories from that trip. So let's get rolling on another spectacular weekend with our first ever Jacket Backer trip to upstate New York.

As a Jacket Backer member, you know how much fun that last road trip or game-watching party was. Here's your chance to share your favorite memories with potential new members and with your JB friends.

 

We are hoping to find some great photos involving the club in some way, for displaying at our member table and on our website. Please, nothing too suggestive or impolite - we know those photos are out there, keep the best ones for private! If you have photos you would be willing to share, please email them to president@jacketbackers.org for consideration.

We have recently filled two of our vacant officer positions! Adrienne Gossman is our new Vice President, and Kelly Patterson is our new Community Service Chair.

 

Please join us in welcoming our newest officers. Adrienne is looking forward to the upcoming season and Julie Maurer (President) will greatly appreciate the extra help. Kelly is already brainstorming for community events to help give the Jacket Backers a greater presence in the community. We have tickets available to see the CBJ v. the Penguins on February 6. We are putting together a CBJ rooting section for the game at the Igloo. The tickets are in section B31 (down low on the Columbus attack twice end) and are available on a first come, first served basis. Cost is $120 per ticket for Jacketbacker members. We are also offering these tickets to non-members for $140 per ticket. Please contact travel@jacketbackers.org to reserve your ticket before they are gone..
